Why do I have sinus symptoms in spite of the fact the CT scan shows no sinus opacification?

I had sinus surgery three months ago because there is sinus opacification in left max sinus.now there is no opacification in the sinus and I have no allergy. I have symptoms like facial pain and pressure,ear pressure,dry air. for years, I thought it was sinusitis that disturbed me. but it seems not to be so. I could not convince the doctor that I have problems with it. he said that this can be psychological. you are very healthy. may I have atrophic rhinitis or any kind of sinusitis?

The sinus problem can be due to many things. First of all, you should be examined and tested in terms of allergy, a complete questioning should be done, and a recent sinus tomography should be viewed from all aspects. Ear pressure, facial pain, jaw pain, ear clicking or popping, could be TMJ, temporo-mandibular joint disorder. Maxillary surgery can also have problems with opening a false opening in back of the true opening. You may want to get a second opinion as well. I have included a link that describes TMJ. Remember, you are only 3 months away from your surgery and healing can take time as well.
