Hi, Ive had septorhinoplasty+ turbinates reduction. Im wondering if my turbinates were reduced excessively. I can tell that the heads are still the same and there is some left overs of the right tail. Symptoms: chronic rhinitis, runny nose, congestion, poor air sensation(but I think it might be related to the rhinitis), post nasal drip. Dust mite allergy as well. An ENT told that about 60% has been reduced. The coronal view shows that about 80% is gone, But the axial shows that about 50% is gone
Hi Ive got a long list of sinus issues: -Extremely restricted breathing, mainly wise in 1 nostril. The severity varies up and down through the day due to allergies. Constant runny nose and extremely loud nose when I blow. Constant post nasal drip. Constant itchy nose (inside and out). Very bad congestion for about 1 week each month. Feels like I have a full cold. Constant dry and cracked inside of nose. Previous surgery to remove nasal polyps (about 15 years ago)
I had a septoplasty about 4 years ago. For roughly the past year, I have experienced chronic post nasal drip.I have tried every medication (prescription nasal sprays including Ipratropium, Azelastine, Flonase) as well as singulair and several antihistamines. I have tried nasal irrigation with ZERO improvement. What can I do? I am going crazy. Constantly sniffling, and it just doesn't stop. The worst part is, I can't seem to either completely blow it out, or suck it in.
I have had constant nasal congestion, head aches, sinus infections, ear infections, pressure in my ears, and post nasal drip for a while now. I recently got health insurance because I no longer live with my parents and can't be covered under their policy. My dr. gave me claritan, an antibiotic, singular, nasonex, and flonase. nothing improved my breathing after two weeks on all of the meds so my dr. ordered the ct scan of my paranasal sinuses those were my results. Will I need surgery?
for some reason, Ive developed two lumps on the bridge of my nose. They are on both sides and probably the reason why I've been having post nasal drip and a runny nose. I also find it hard to breathe from my right nostril. I think i may have a deviated septum. What do you guys think?. Ps: I'm also suffering from nasal polyps.
I'm just wondering as if how long will I have to live with this! Cuz thers no fluid in my ears no hearing loss no pain but I just don't feel normal constant pressure in my ears clicking noise every time i swallow, post nasal drip! tried flutinoase, afrin antibiotics were prescribed to me nd nothing seems to work , I've done saline rinses the whole nine yard. I've recently looked up balloon sinuplasty and I'm wondering if I should be giving this a thought!
I broke my nose about 10 years ago, it was broken in 4 places and it took 17 stitches between the nose bridge and eyebrows. I struggle with nasal drip now. At night is the worst as I seem to have mucus in my throat constantly. I spend most of the night trying to cough it out or swallow it down. It's gross and has really affected my sleeping. Is there a surgery I can do to fix this?
I'm a 39 yr old male. Good health, 5'9 about 172lbs. In 2010, I had a septoplasty done. Since, I've always battled with post nasal drip. I've always been under the impression that I had to choose between better breathing & post nasal drip. At the time I felt better breathing was the best choice! Now, I'm constantly clearing the phlegm out of my throat, sore throats, sometimes feels like a lump in my throat, tonsil stones, constant swallowing. Is there another procedure to fix this?!
