Hi I did septoplasty before 2 and half years and till now i have pain in nose when i put glasses (even sun glasses) I checked my eye for any change in prescription, and tried multiple types of frames but it is same Is there any solution for this Thanks and regards
Im 20 now and when at age 7, a bump on my nose bridge started to grow to where it is quite visible from a side view of my face and you can see a sharpish point on the sides of the bump; also my left nostril is blocked inside. With any form of pressure on it, I get a tickle-y feeling like I'm about to sneeze and a really painful headache follows. I only noticed the pain when I tried wearing any pair of glasses but now it could be the lightest pressure that triggers a weighty, lengthly headache.
I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction 10days ago. The Dr. put dissolvable splints in the exterior area of my nose and said it would take months for them to dissolve. The pain is awful - at the top of each one (see bumps circled), where my glasses rest on my nose, it feels like needles sticking through the skin. I returned for help and got anti-inflammatory meds. 2 days on that and it isnt better. What do you suggest?
I had deviated syp. Fixed 8yrs ago. I could finally breath after 20 years broken nose. HOWEVER my glasses still sit crooked tilts to left (drives me crazy) and can't wear any glasses very long either. Insurance paid for 1st surgery. Is this a functional problem in a doctors opinion? There was cartridge from my ear used in repair but the crooked still there.
I had open Septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery, cast and splints for 10 days after. Since I didn't have a cosmetic rhinoplasty and everything was internal, I was told it's just fine to wear glasses. However, when I wear my glasses it causes indentations and what feels like lumps about where the nasal bones and maxilla would meet. It's been over a week since cast came off. Is this just swelling, or could the bones have changed at even though that area wasn't touched during surgery?
