Hi, I had Septoplasty with Turbine Reduction right about 3 months ago. Before surgery I couldnt breathe from my right nostril, it was almost fully blocked and that was the reason I got this surgery done. Now at 3 months post OP, my right side is fixed and all good but my left nostril(which was my good side) is feeling blocked and feels like not much air coming out of it. When i touch my septum it feels deviated to the left from inside aswell. Does that mean my surgery failed?
I just had my septoplasty 3 months back. Before surgery, my nose looked straight and both of my nostrils would appear even if I slightly tilt my head up but now they are not visible enough am I having retracted columella? when I smile my nose looks, even more, pointing downward also sometimes in the morning, my nose tip will become bigger and bulbous should I worry about this all Are there any exercise to straighten and sharp my nose I am hesitated to go for another surgery Thank you
Hi, I had a septoplasty at the end of August this year, The issue im having is, before my op my right nostril was blocked due to a deviated septum, After the op, blockage is still there but redcued, but recently my left nostril is completely blocked. I've tried using my rinse and i've tried my decongestion spray but neither work, it just feels like i need to blow something huge out. could my nose deviate to the other side? or could this just be a lot of 'gunk' that will move in time.
So it has been about 3 months since my surgery. For a few weeks I have been picking my nose, I'm not talking about hanging boogers, I mean digging up like as high as I can go! Is that bad? It feels like my nose has been getting stuffier, but it might be because I've been out of sinus irrigator stuff so my nose has been dry. I get a little bit of dried blood when picking. I go as high up as my finger will go to get the dried boogers. What negative effects can that have?
I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction about 3 months ago. I still try to use saline or a qtip /w hydrogen peroxide to clean my nose instead of picking. Today I was unable to remove some dried mucous doing this so I tried picking it. it resulted in a little bit of bleeding. Not enough for the blood to trickle out of my nose but I did see blood on the qtip when I went to finish cleaning. Could picking nose 3 mo after septoplasty cause septum to deviate again or possibly cause septal hemotoma?
Can swelling feel firm? There seems to be a very tiny hump on the left side of my nose after hump removal. If needed, would a very small tweaking revision rhinoplasty carry a lot of risks? (Bar anaesethic risks) My nose looks perfect from the front, I know its impossible to tell but on the whole how often do slight humps eventually dissapear? My surgeon is reputable UK surgeon who said he had removed the hump completely after the operation. Thank you in advance for your replies
and keep having a strange sensation as if I am having a nose bleed but there is nothing there. The ent specialist says my nose has healed correctly and pain may be due to scar tissue & cant explain this strange sensation. Can anyone explain this ?
