I can see my grafts in my tip. Is that from swelling in the tissue?

Question

I have thinner skin but not too thin. I notice I can see my grafts in my tip if I massage them as told they disappear but then reappear. Is that from swelling under the grafts in the tissue making them more noticeable? I notice I have swelling towards the bottom of my bridge still. Surgeon said my grafts could settle or they won't and could camouflage with fascia from my scalp .

Hi, It is better for you to consult with your facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on examination. Grafts with thick cartilage/sharp edges tend to show with thin skin patients. If you are less than 1 year post-op better to wait. If beyond a year, no way to fix it without going for revision surgery.

In our experience, if cartilage graft become visible after rhinoplasty surgery, many people are candidates to have visible irregularities camouflaged with microdroplets Silikon 1000 injections. If the situation does not improve on its own, a non-surgical approach may be something to consider, compared to temporalis fascia, which may be less predictable. Wishing you well moving forward.
