Got hit on the face playing ball, did I damage my nose tip? (Photos)

Question

I didn’t bleed and I didn’t feel pain, but I got a pretty big scratch on exterior of nose near the tip(Probably caused by my glasses which broke) . I had my rhinoplasty 10 months ago and I’m just wondering if I messed up the tip cartilages or the support that was added to fix my droopy tip during rhinoplasty. I noticed that the tip is now dropping a bit more after the trauma. 1st photo is before injury, the rest are after.

Thank you for your question. Given your description of the incident, it is unlikely that your nasal tip suffered any irreversible damage. At 10 months after surgery, there may be just a touch of swelling still present, but the cartilages should be well-healed. There may also be swelling from the new injury as well. I would recommend waiting a few weeks to see how the nose settles out. All the best!
