In a retouch my doctor put a diced fibrosis scar tissue glued together to augmentate the radix and bridge of my nose. I didnt want him to do that and I think my bridge and radix are too high. I was wondering if you can shave down a diced graft or remove it, and if my nose will lose structure if I do that once it heals completely. II may have to reduce my tip by 1mm so it doesnt look to pointy, but thats it. I used to love the curve my nose had and now its completely straight, I hate it.
My previous surgery was a fail and now i have a huge shapeless nasal bridge and a pointy tip. I had a collapse from my first surgery on one side so the new dr did osteotomies and put cartilage on the collapsed side. The thing is now it looks like a balloon. Can i get the bones and cartilage shaved a bit with revision or will it collapse again?
I got a rhinoplasty a year ago and 2 mo. ago and currently have a small but noticeable bump on my bridge due to scar tissue. I have gotten one steroid shot when I was 8-9 mo. post op but it is still there. The doctor suggested shaving down the fibrosis. Will shaving down fix my issue? How is this done?will it grow back? what is post care like and common complications?
I had rhinoplasty done one year ago and from the 6 month mark on when most of the swelling had resolved I have developed a bossae and what appears to be scar tissue. I cry when I see photos of my face and don't even recognize myself anymore when I initially loved my results. My surgeon recommends shaving down the cartilage in office. Should I trust him or will it make matters worse? I am afraid to lose more of my nose, but I hate the way it looks.
So I have had two previous nose surgeries, 1. Septoplasty to fix my deviated septum. Unfortunately I received my surgery at a teaching hospital and I was.still experiencing breathing issues. 2. Septo-rhinoplasty to fix my deviation and remove dorsal hump. Unfortunately mysurgeon filled in my low nose bridge and now my nose bridge is wider and higher. My nose is straight but my left side isn't as easy to breathe and have to use cotton swab to remove the obstructions Can you undo high bridge
My surgeon says he doesn't do it but that he has heard that it is a technique used by others. I'm wondering if this even works and if it is in fact a technique used to shave down the bone, or is rasping the only way?
Im 9 months post op. I had a bump on my bridge removed. I specifically told the surgeon i wanted my front view to stay the same. Well the area where the bump was shaved off is SO thin. I absolutely hate it. He said if he tries to fix it, it might get worse and end up too thick(cartilage graft). Temporary filler is not an option! Has anyone had successs getting this revised ?
