Ive had the rhinoplasty done about 30 years ago and about 1.5 months ago out of the blue, redness then swelling on nose. Took antibiotics its coming back, am told its implant rejection. Since its been that long, anyway to avoid surgery ? If surgery is the only issue would the shape of nose collapse as its been 30 yrs. Should I get new rhinoplasty again? Thanks in advance !
I had Revision Rhinoplasty 12 weeks ago. At least 3 times a week, my nose from the bridge to the tip turns red and then the color disappears a couple hours later. My surgeon took cartilage from the bridge to build up the tip, where it had formed a dent. It is still very swollen and the bridge still hurts at times. Does revision take longer to heal? Thank you.
Hello , I had my surgery a year and 3 months ago with ear cartilage replacement and I have a perfect circle round red spot, my doctor said will be getter by the year and yes it did , much better but still the ring perfect circle is still there Any suggestions?
I've had 2 rhinoplasty's. Open. I had healing issues, I'll include a picture. It's mostly healed but my nose stays red. It gets worse when I'm lying flat. What could be causing that? I have to have a 3rd surgery and I'm scared it means something is wrong. Especially with my blood supply, I've already had necrosis once.
I'm 10 months post op Revision Rhinoplasty My nose always looks red/discolored. I notice it more in pictures than in person, but it's also discolored in person. Is this normal? I don't feel like it is. I also need another revision And I'm scared to cut into my nose again and it fall off.
My 1st revision has gone wrong in many ways (not pictured). Amongst many issues I have this red line under the columella across to both nostrils when i smile or talk and it is so tight and painful I actually have to stop myself from smiling to avoid it pulling due to the discomfort. I have a rib columella strut which is sewn to the cruras (as on notes) and had abr. I need derotation, length and infratip back. How can this tightness be resolved?
I had a tip revision to round it out as my cartilage started to poke through due to thin skin so cartilage was taken from the back of my ear and wrapped round the tip. Happy with the result but my nose tip gets so cold so quickly and turns whiteish/red/purple and almost circular. It's been 8 months, I tried 1 round of lumecca IPL a few months ago but worried that's done the opposite? Any advice? Unsure what it is or what to do as I thought it may have been better by now.
Had revision surgery years ago. Everything was fine at first but for years now my right nostril is always dripping and if often has a painful red cut on the tip of the nostril What may be the issue? Can it be fixed? Thank you.
I had rhinoplasty about 1.5 years ago and while I was initially happy with the results I felt like it changed and now have a divot on the side of my nose that was pushed over to straighten it. I also have a theory that this notch might be causing chronic redness / telangiectasia across my nose. I showed my doctor and he tried some filler but I didn't like it. Should I consider revision or just live with it? Could revision mess it up even more?
Rhinoplasties - 2015, 2017, 2018, Feb 2022. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty gave me desired definition in tip, which I wanted to retain permanently with 2022 surgery. Despite using scalp fascia, it didn't work. Tip depressed after steroid injections, so fat injected. Since then filler, 5FU, steroid injections. Surgeon said skin has not draped properly over internal structure. Nose is always red and still bulges on sides. Can anything be done to fix this? At least the skin redness? Or do no more?
