I've been using Tretinoin 1 % for 1 month, used 0.5% for 1 month and the lowest 0.25% for 1 month. I've seen zero results (I know it may be too soon) but my sunspots are DARKER and it goes back and forth. I use a good sunscreen religiously and protect my skin from UV rays EVERY day. My esthetician is telling me my skin is too sensitive to the sunlight even though I'm using the sunscreen and she is telling me I need to stop using the tretinoin during the Summer. Help!
So I made a dumb mistake of over doing with retinal last year. I kept applying .1% retinal and it caused some PIH in the span of 10months that dosent seem to want to go away. It has improved over time (it was much worse). It has given me darker circles, and more uneven sun spots is making me really insecure. Is this permanent damage? if not how can i fix this?? thanks
Female 180 cm 27 years old 54 kg Ive been using tret every night for two years (stieva A 0.05%) Im not sure if its related to the tret but I have developed what looks to be pigmentation or sun spots under both eyes. I do put the tret under my eyes. (just Until my cheek bone, which is where these pigmented spots are ) I no longer peel from tret at all.
Is tazarotene 0.1% better than tretinoin 0.5% for antiagining/sun spots? What percentage L ascorbic acid produces greater collagen production? Any other form of vitamin C better? What noncomedogenic matte finish sun screen do you recommend for oily skin Is it worth buying expensive face cleansers/exfoliants or is over the counter products fine? Thank you!
Diagnosed Issues: mild rosacea, sun spots, mild melasma, wrinkles Dermatologist put on when you can and when I asked her when or in what order her response was to ask my pharmacist. I replied that I am a pharmacist but I am unsure when to apply for optimal results. She responded that I can Google it. She's nice but I'm seeking another dermatologist haha In what order or what times do I put on the following products: Tretinoin cream Metrogel Hydroquinone Moisturizer Vitamin C or E serum
The hair loss is more than likely from a combination of genetics, chronic stress, and history of Depo-Provera/morena IUD and more recently lo- loestrin birth control pill used to treat chronic migraine headaches . I would like to use Retin-A and vitamin C over my entire face neck and chest area to combat fine lines and sunspots, But I am concerned about the potential side effect of hair loss. Any advice?
