I'm using a whitener but my face has gotten dark and discolored. red and lines i never had before. sticking it out to find out if retin a works. I read that oil isnt good with retin a? Is oil the reason why the areas around my mouth look brown? I also read that retin a is its own moisturizer and that moisturizing makes natural cells lazy and stop working since they see we have already moisturized., the cells do not. Is this true?
l have very very very dry skin and just started using Retin-A 0.25%. I need a very rich moisturiser afterwards to relieve some of the dryness, essential oils also help. Is it okay to apply an oil, and/or oil rich moisturiser afterwards or is it essential not to use anything oil based afterwards? Find it very hard to find rich creams not containing an oil.
I have so much dead skin build up and tretinoin has given me a deep mask like layer of dead skin that is ready to be ripped but still not exfoliating itself..maybe its taking time (dead skin is shining when i stretch my face) Can the tretinoin dryness cause wrinkles? Can it make skin rough permanently. How to rip that mask of dead skin it has covered my whole face.
I'm just starting to incorporate Retin-A (tretinoin version) into my skincare routine. I normally use Tarte Maracuja Oil at night as my mositurizer. After I was my face, can I still apply the oil, wait about 15-20 mins and then apply the trentinoin? I want to make sure the oil is OK to use with the trentinoin and if should apply it before or after the trentinoin.
I started using prescription tretinoin (Retin-A) at night for acne and hopefully anti-aging effects. I read that it is acceptable to use a moisturizer after applying the Retin-A, but I was wondering about face oils. Would it be counter-productive for me to use a face oil such as olive-derived squalane (instead of a cream moisturizer)? Or is this okay? Thank you very much for your time and any help you can provide!
