Is it OK to use Retin-A with a face oil? Which order should I apply the products?

I'm just starting to incorporate Retin-A (tretinoin version) into my skincare routine. I normally use Tarte Maracuja Oil at night as my mositurizer. After I was my face, can I still apply the oil, wait about 15-20 mins and then apply the trentinoin? I want to make sure the oil is OK to use with the trentinoin and if should apply it before or after the trentinoin.

We recommend applying Retin-A on clean, dry skin with a pea-sized amount (or as prescribed by your physician). To minimize the adverse effects related to retinoid usage, it is recommended to begin application on alternate nights for the first 2 weeks of use, at minimum, or until deemed tolerable. For a moisturizer, we also recommend using SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2. Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 is clinically shown to shorten the adjustment period to retinoids up to 1 week while reducing dryness.

I do not recommend using face oils with retinA, particularly if you break out at all. I would recommend a product with dimethicone or cyclomethicone. In addition, ceramide containing moisturizers have been show to work very well with trentinoin either prior to or after application of the Retin-A, and can decrease irritation in individuals who are irritated by tretinoin.
