I had acne as a teenager (now 32/female). I do not have any ice pick scarring. What I do have is slight orange peel texture, & the appearance of large pores. I am currently seeing an esthetician. She has given me a 5% BHA toner & face wash to combat the texture issue, along with some adult hormonal acne. I also use Retin-A. My question is.....are regular facials/microdermabrasion enough, or do I need to do something more aggressive (i.e dermabrasion, chemical peel, laser resurfacing)?
I've had large pores for a long time. I've tried IPL, TCA peel, and a laser peel but nothing seems to help much. Is there a better treatment or topical? I also have greasy looking skin, although it tends to be quite dry. Thank you in advance for your advice!
So Ive read a lot of bad reviews for retin-a making pores worse. I just started using it only once a week. My pores are somewhat more noticeable unfortunately. What should I do? I dont have time for anything that involves downtime for healing. Im guessing the big pores are sun damage.
I'm 21 old and I'm getting constantly clogged pores and acne since 3 years on my face resulting in the formation of a large open pore and rough textured skin, blackheads, whiteheads and bumpy skin is constantly prevailing. I fear increasing large open pores. will Retin-A help with this? is it all right to use Retin-A 0.025% at this age?
I am wondering if I can take a tube of Retin-a and mix it into a bottle of body lotion and use it all over my body? arms, legs, stomach.... Also, I am wondering if Rtain-a helps to improves cellulite on legs, stretch marks on hips, and/or large pores on face?
I have recently taken on the task of taking better care of myself and I have noticed that I am very much in need of hygiene. I do not know if they are like this because of the dirt or some permanent damage. What professional treatments or skin care products do you recommend? I've heard that Retin-A is very good. I am patient and I am willing to wait for good results. Note: Ive oily skin, Im in my 23 and my skin is much whiter.
Hi doctors. I am 34 years old and have just started using tretinoid cream 0.025. I have started using the cream a week ago every other night. I know still too early to see any changes, but I noticed pores on Apple of my cheeks are more visible and large, no dryness or peeling yet. Is this a side effect of the cream? Should I continue to use it or stop using it?
I've been using Retin-A 0.05 in the morning and at night for about a month now. I feel like my skin has gotten worse though, even drier and rougher than before. I use a moisturizer twice a day, sometimes use coconut oil or Bio-Oil to soothe inflammation, and I try to drink lots of water, eat healthy, etc. What should I do? Asking before I make a dermatologist appt. Thank you!
