I am a mid 20s male who has acquired brown spots and freckles on the drivers side of my face. The spots are in my beard area, however I have not really developed anything more than a few hairs in this area yet (late bloomer). I have type 1 skin. I have had offices mention both IPL and Picosure Focus. Since I haven't grown a beard yet - would IPL impact the future growth of my beard? Also, with Picosure - how effective is it at treating brown spots? What is the downtime? Does it risk hair loss?
i read some reviews say there is downtime but some websites say there is no down time, for facial rejuvenation is there any down time ? and does the skin peel and if it does, how much ? comparable to a chemical peel ?
I heard theres no downtime for picosure focus but My face is still a bit red and dark area are darker and itchy. The technician at said I should come back in two weeks because dark area need to be repeated treated to beak it down. But Im uneasy since I heard 4-6weeks is safer. Im afraid the dark pigments will not go away, its been two days, I dont see any improvement except very blotchy skin:( I only get one full pass on the face, how many pass should you get? And #of pulses for face?
Ive had picosure 3 days ago and had a horrible break out the day after. I have never had a break out this bad. The inflammation hasnt subsided and Im worried it wont for a while. Is this normal? Is this the fault of my physician? Is the clinic not clean or did the procedure not go as planned? A lot of people say that there is no downtime or side effects, but this has given me a lot of anxiety and knock on my self esteem since the treatment.
I have brown birthmark and acne scar on my face and planning to remove it via the laser. 1) if picosure can remove them? 2) If the picosure will cause the scab? 3) the down time? 4) if i can use the dermaroller mask after the picosure during the down time? 5) could anyone give me some recommendation for the doctor in bay area?
When I research PICO lasers and other peoples experiences and outcomes, it seems like there is quite a disparity between some people having virtually no down time-to other people having very red and scabbed over looking faces for many days after. I imagine that means the laser is at different intensities, but whats the difference? Is getting PICO where my face isnt red and scabby not as good and mean my results arent going to be as optimal? Why would someone have a scabbed face versus not?
