What is the downtime/recovery time for PicoSure focus for skin rejuvenation?

i read some reviews say there is downtime but some websites say there is no down time, for facial rejuvenation is there any down time ? and does the skin peel and if it does, how much ? comparable to a chemical peel ?

Thank you for the question. The is no down time after skin rejuvenation using PicoSure. There will be some redness that will resolve with in less than 24 hours. The skin usual does not peel after PicoSure treatment. Wish you the best in health.

Hi!  One of the reasons that PicoSure is so amazing really is because there's minimal downtime.  Most patients have redness and mild swelling after the procedure lasting anywhere from 3-12 hours.  Now, during that time, I recommend keeping your face cool and not do anything strenuous.  So I guess you could look at that as 'down time', but anyone (besides your mom and best friend) who sees you won't know that you've had a procedure.  Some minor peeling is normal.  However the amount of peeling is not nearly as much as you'd get from a strong chemical peel.  Also, the amount of redness (and peeling) decreases with each successive treatment.  For some people, a breakout of acne could be triggered too but it's minor.  Best of luck, Dr. Huo
