If you have broken noses over the years from sports but don't want surgery to help breathing some doctors have said its reasonable to suggest you can not only have the outside fixed but the inside as well, to help breathing, etc. Is this true and to what extent? Truthful verifiable answers only please. People are on to the game.
I had my nose broken badly about 3 years ago and after the first surgery my nose looked crooked and a big bump appeared on my bridge. My septum became deviated again (first surgery wasnt performed properly) and I had a open revision to correct it about a year ago. At first I liked the results but now 9 months later, I have a bump on bridge again and nose looks ugly. Should I have another revision or should I consider a non surgical treatment ?
Hello. My nose has been crooked since I was a young teenager. I consulted some surgeons who agreed that the bones between my brows were broken and two bones in my nose. Somehow, my breathing seems almost normal. They all suggested a septo-rhinoplasty. I'm hesitate to elect the surgery as I'm afraid something will happen with my breathing. Is it possible for a severe deviation without breathing disruption, to be fixed with a non surgical procedure? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Hello, i broke my nose 3 weeks ago even though i didnt bleed and i had no pain and the swelling was very slight. I made a ct scan just to make sure it wasnt broken but it turned out i had a non displaced fracture, im worried its gonna mess up with the shape of my original nose, my ENT told me not to worry and that my nose will resorb into its own original shape but i fear she only told me that to reassure me.I wont have any surgical procedure if it changes ill accept it i only hope it wnt change
I got in a fight about two weeks ago and I think I may have broken my nose. It seems a little crooked. The swelling is just now starting to subside. It feels like there is still mobility in the bone. It is hard to tell it is crooked but you can tell. There was blood at the time of break. I can breathe fine and I am not severe pain. Just a little soreness. Can I fix this myself? And how can I do it? Otherwise I will let it heal.
When I fell on it first it wasn't broken but had lump and cartilage was slightly displaced so pushed outwards either side. other day accidentally pushed nose from either side made a crackling noise. nose now visibly different. lump has gone but it appears to have made nose longer. also seems taller, has now got a hump in it, looks more broken. nose feels different also looks pinched just before the tip, looks narrower in places, looks like gone to one side slightly, glasses now rub sit at angle
