4 weeks ago I had SmartLipo on abdomen & back with a total of 15 small incisions. Most healed nicely except for the 2 largest ones on each hipbone. They are red and inflamed although stopped oozing about a week ago. Initially, any type of ointment and bandaids were making them worse until I discovered on my own that I should use gauze pads and plain cloth tape (apparent allergic/sensitive to most adhesives!) What should I be doing to help with the "angry" redness & swolleness of the incisions?
I had lipo on my abdomen and back about 3 years ago now. I was told all the redness would go away with time but its been long enough now and I dont see any changes happening at this point. What exactly looks wrong with my skin. Do I have erythema or fibrosis ? I have fair skin so i do have some unevenness with redness in my thighs and arms sometimes that looks a little similar but I still believe its more than just normal on my lipo areas. Does my skin look abnormal? Idk where to start or if
Hello dear community. Im 8 days post op of Lipo for fat grafting taken from inner thighs(25 ml each), no compression needed, because of little amount, my doc said. Since Friday there is this redness in my bruise. It itches and hurts while walking or touching it. My bruise is better, but the redness is still the same. Infection? Allergic? Fat necrosis? My doctor said from the pictures its normal, but Im not sure...I had Lipo before and never experienced this. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you
I am 3 days post op from lipo and a thigh reduction. There is redness and itching along the incision. Im on co-amoxiclav as a preventative for infection and have several days left of the course. Im wondering if it is a tape allergy? The incisions have been glued and then taped to allow me to shower, however I had this tape on my tummy tuck and breast reduction last year with no reaction. Im worried its an infection starting however my surgeon has gone away for a few days.
I had a lipo done mid January this year, and Ive notice that the red hasnt disappeared at all, I know theres many questions here about how to reduce the scars, but havent found how to reduce the redness my skin is fair in color so I dont know this makes them more noticeable. Im all about discretion but I feel I cant take my shirt off yet because these an be seen from far. Help in what to use, what to do, advice in general. Ive 6 of these :-(
Hi everybody. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make lipo scars less visible?I had it done a month ago, everything has healed ok but scars are very red and visible(naturally) I have anniversary in 2 weeks and was hoping to do something about them. Can i do CO2 laser very carefully yet, or anything else that works well and fast?At the very least I need to reduce the redness. The scars are about 1 cm long each Thank you!
I had lipo and a tummy tuck on 4/10. Lipo to flanks, outer thighs and inner thighs. lipo sites were sutured closed. Need to note that my compression garment was extremely tight. At my first post op visit my legs had red, warm, and painful patches to inner thighs. Was placed on several rounds of antibiotics, culture negative. 5 weeks later, and areas have not improved and are still sore. The color has now changed to a darker red/brown. Any ideas what this is? PS states has never seen this
I wear my spanx everyday. I have been doing some exercises & I have a bad back so I have been using my electrical nerve stimulator(E-Stem) around the area. This helps with swelling & blood flow. However, the incision on my back is still red and indented. I don't want a scar there & I am not sure what to do to help. I take coconut oil, I put this natural tamanu oil & vitamin e oil on it as well as neosporin once every other day. I am more worried about the indentation than the color. Please help!
There are deep red lines on both of my arms after liposuction, I am one week out from the surgery, I had a Brazilian butt lift & lower/mid/back abdomen, batwing and axxila lipo. I just took off my bandages to my terror I found these very dark red lines on both arms. I am very scared these will be permanent. Why did they form and how can I make them go away??
I have had 3 Lipo-Ex treatments of the abdomen. The first 2 were without pain.side effects. However, the third I had a different technician and felt the procedure was warmer, and rougher. After the 3rd treatment my abs were a little sore, 3 days after the treatment I have noticed a hard bump/lump that is round in the lower part of my stomach just above my c-section scar, now the area is very tender to the touch and the skin is red and warm....is there cause for alarm? HELP!!
