Have had it for a while - but it just started to look kinda obvious recently - think its time to have it removed. (Stretching my neck here in the pic - so that it can be seen better - but it looks small when neck isnt stretched).
I had an injury on my head, neck and left shoulder 2 decades ago. Since then, my left shoulder has bothered me and the area that was hit by a canec tile developed a lipoma. Can a lipoma be due to trauma? How can you tell if a lipoma is directly related to prior trauma? What kind of surgeon would you go to for removal of intramuscular and intermuscular lipoma involving the rhomboid muscle of the shoulder? The lipoma size is about 6-8 inches in diameter.
Well i have a Lipoma on my neck from what my docter said. It's been causing me neck pain for a while now. So what do you think i should do. Also i should say i'm only about 16 and nobody else in my family...that i know of has one.
I have a small (less than one inch) lipoma on my right front neck. I have had others removed from arm, leg, buttocks, but never neck. All others done under local. My Primary care doctor sent me to an ear nose throat surgeon due to lipoma location. This surgeon (who is new to me) was trying to talk me into general vs. local. This made me uncomfortable; he said local was also do-able, but he clearly was pushing me towards general. Will I be ok with local, given it's on my neck vs. leg?
Hello! I've had this lump at the top of my neck by my jaw that makes my jawline look a bit off. It is only on the right side of my neck. I'm not sure how long I've had it, whether it's been a few years or my whole life. It's not painful but I do feel it when I touch it and can kind of squish it around. Do you know how/if I can have it removed by some cosmetic procedure ? Or perhaps even if this may be a cause for medical concern? Thank you!
