I've never been happy with my mouth. I obviously have an overbite and a very long philtrum. I've been thinking a lip lift would definitely help. But recently have read a bit about v and y surgery improvements in lip size as well. I would love an upturn and definition I've never had. Hate that I've wasted so many years being unhappy with this part of my face. Thankful for any advice.
30/F with a long looking philtrum but with mild lip incompetence and mild overbite. Totally relaxed a couple mm of the front teeth show. Can I still do a surgical lip lift to shorten the philtrum appearance without making the tooth show worse?
Previous work: Rhinoplasty (looking to possibly have revision) and Chin Implant in 2018. Filler a few times from 2010-2019 I have always felt my upper lip was long (no teeth show) and asymmetrical. I have tried to use filler to balance my face and smile but it hasn't worked. I have an overbite. I feel since having the rhino my lip looks even longer. What type of lip lift should I get? Can it fix the pulling to one side and the thicker side when smiling? What would be the cost range in SoCal?
I was seeking just a lip lift but then I read something about maybe dental fix like braces because maybe an overbite could be the cause of my protruding philtrum? Any suggestions on how to flatten on my philtrum temporarily (any fillers??) or permanent options to help me reach my goal
I would like to get a lip lift because I have a long philtrum that makes my face look older and less proportional. Although my upper lip covers most of my teeth at rest, when I lift it slightly it becomes overly protruded, the tops of my teeth show, and I look like a horse. I then realized that I have a mild overbite and protruding maxilla. Having said that, my question is this: if I correct my occlusion with orthodontics and orthognathic surgery, would it be possible for me to get a good result from a lip lift? Thanks!
