I feel my top lip has been overfilled? (Photos)

Question

Hi doctors, i previously posted here on the day of my injection as i was concerned about the swelling post fillers. Its been more than a month now and i feel something still looks "off" with my lips? i can still feel all the product in my lip and I've gotten asked numerous times why my top lip "swollen" I got mine done by a nurse injector. (I've previously had fillers done with very even, symmetrical results)

Thank you for questions.  Looking at your photos you have posted your upper lip does look to be a bit fuller then your bottom lip.  You can either let it be and it will break down on it's own or you can go back to your injector and have them inject Vitrase which will break it down immediately.  I suggest following up with your injector and addressing your concerns with them.  Best of luck to you.

From your photos, it does look as if the top left hand side of the lip is a little overfilled an unsymmetrical. This does seem to be bothering you. I would recommend going back to your original injector and asking for a small amount of hyalase to dissolve the overfilled section. If this does not bring your lips back to a point where you are happy you will need to have them completely dissolved and started again. Please wait at least 10-14 days after hyalase before having filler again. Good luck

Thankyou for your question. The usual balance of lip is 1/3  upper lip : 2/3 lower lip. You are correct you balance is off. You have had too much filler in your top lip. This can be dissolved.  Hope this helps

Hey there!  yes the upper lip does look a bit disproportionate - they do look smooth though but your options are to either add more to the bottom lip to balance it out, or dissolve the top lip filler.

It does appear that your top lip is more full than the bottom lip. If you are unhappy with the result, you can always call your injector to either dissolve the filler or add more to the bottom to make them more even, and make the top appear smaller.

Your upper lip does appear to be slightly overfilled as compared to the lower lip, but somehow it goes well with your face. I wouldn't do anything until further treatment is desired. Good luck from New York City
