Female with Type III-IV skin in India where diode lasers are recommended, soon going to Dubai where Nd YAG are used and then starting grad school in Chicago, where I believe Alexandrite is popular(?). Is it a problem to change between machines? Is there a best way to go about doing this? I want to start with diode as some of my hair is finer (not too fine/virgin hair, confirmed by 2 dermats) and I believe this is the best laser for that? Nervous about deciding which laser(s) to go with+how.
I've debated getting laser hair removal and have recently decided to save up to get laser done on my arms/armpits, legs, and eventually bikini area. I'm extremely pale (from my dads Northern European side) and have hair all over my body from course thick hair to slightly lighter fine hairs on my chest, back, stomach, upper arms/thighs (from my Mexican moms side). Could this be removed effectively or are those types of hairs to thin and small? These are close up flash pictures for reference.
I got a LHR session done, it wasnt effective at all. In my second sesison, doctor said they will increase the frequency or something in the machine. I am afraid if its not safe. Please advise the safe frequency/heat/time setting. PS- I have fair Indian skin and dark black medium fine hair all over body.
Generally I am blonde, on legs and bikini have thin and fine hair, but both blond and half darker( not very dark, but long ones), my skin is light color. I want to decide which one is better for this type of skin : Alexandrite Lazer ( Candella Gentlelase Pro-U or Polylase LP) or Diode ( Soprano Ice Platinum) .
I have been getting laser removal every 6 weeks for 4 years! The hair on my face is too fine, dark, and hormonal to be permanently removed so it keeps growing back. I am spending a lot of money monthly to top-up. Can I invest in a home laser device and top up myself? Does anyone have any recommendations for a good one that actually works?
I've received two laser hair removal treatments on my bikini area, and after the first, hair regrowth was practically nonexistent. After my second treatment approximately 6 weeks later, hair has regrown over the full area, but is very fine. The hair prior to my first laser treatment was very thick, and I'm certain there was no fine hair at all... What's going on here? Will the laser treatment continue to work now that the hair is thinner and lighter?
Planning on paying for 8 sessions of the Gentlemax pro for my full body. While my legs, arms, underarms and bikini have dark coarse hair, I'm worried about the finer hair) but still visibly dark) if this could increase my chance of regrowth? In particular, I'm worried about my chest, face and shoulders - I shave them at the moment but it's not coarse hair - is this risking excessive regrowth because it's not as dark and already fine? Thanks and Merry Christmas
I have a typical middle eastern tone not too dark not too light. I did IPL over 10 years ago it was effective on corse dark hair but not finer hair such as facial hair which I actually also have on my lower back and abdomen. I am eager to get rid of that fine hair which is noticeable since it has color to it. What would be the most effective laser machine to get rid of that hair or at least reduce it significantly. Thanks!
