I had a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning 3 weeks ago. After the stitches were removed the black scab line under my eye remained and hasn't improved much since. When can I expect this to disappear and is there anything I can do to make it go away faster It's quite noticeable
I had an upper bleph 7 days ago. The stitches were removed today, day 7. I have vertical lines on the outer aspect of each eye, some are red and slightly indented and some are scabs. Will this cause train track like scars? Photos are blurry as its hard to get a clear closeup using my outdated phone.
I am scheduled for an upper eyelid( blepharoplasty) procedure in two weeks, on Feb 6th. I just received notice of the post op appointment to remove the sutures. This appointment is 13 days after surgery! I am worried now that this will cause scarring. Should I be concerned? Another Dr I saw removed stitches on the 4th day. Need to decide what to do now. Thank you.
I have had a lower and upper blepharoplasty about 15 years ago, then I had my uppers done again about 4 years ago, but I had my lowers done again about 1year ago and because I had had them done previous the surgeon insisted on a hammock stitch at the outer corners of my eye, which has caused webbing! Especially on one side more than the other! He said he stitched the lower outer corner to the top lid! He said he would try to fix it with skin grafting if I like but, is this very successful?
I had blepharoplasty both eyes Nov 2018. I now have a horizontal pleat on my right eyelid. When stitches were removed surgeon said we can fix that with a stitch Left eye looks great. I gave it a year to heal. In Jan 2020 I decided to follow up and then COViD arrived. I will see the surgeon in January. Can you give expectations for this conversation? Should I be prepared to pay for this correction? I'm in good health, no weight change since surgery and stay out of the sun. Thx!
I'm thinking about having an upper blepharoplasty + keep reading things about irritation along the suture lines + it possibly being due to internal sutures that need to dissolve. I wear contacts, so I don't want to experience that kind of irritation for too long + weighting the pros/cons of having the procedure. Thanks!
This is my 2nd post; I had my lower blepharoplasty 7 weeks ago, and I developed ectropion; the surgeon tried to stitch from my mid face, failed; tried frost stitch, failed; he said the ectropion is due to scarring, so he offered steroid injection with another frost stitch or steroid injection only or surgically removing the scar and do a minor lift ( stitch eyelid up); I am just doing tapping, massaging and steroid eye drops now; what should I do? Is this really caused by scarring?
