I have excess skin that makes it difficult to open my eyes fully and also I feel like I get headaches a lot from constantly arching my brows to hold up my eyes enough to see. Cosmetically, my eyes also look tired/droopy. Im not sure however where to start. Can someone suggest a procedure I can look into? That way I can make sure I can find a specialist that has experience in that type of surgery.
My eyes have been Hooded all my life, but my vision is starting to 'see' my lashes and headaches are happening. When I raise up my brow, my eyes are very awake looking without any hood. I would love any ideas of what the solution is as it seems like at such a young age this is being problematic. I just don't know the best path to research. Thank you!
I was born with hooded eyes. I have always experienced headaches and heaviness. I started to ask myself if this may be from my hooded eyes. My parents and I are against plastic surgeries unless they are functional and not only for cosmetic reasons. Based on the pictures, does it look like my eyes may be causing me headaches? Also, Do you think I will be a good candidate for plastic surgery covered by insurance? I am 19 years old.
For as long as I can remember, I have been raising my eyebrows as well as contracting the backsides of my head in order to life my brows and eyes. Naturally, my brows and eyes are very low, making me look mean and not youthful. Attached is a photo of my relaxed face as well as what I am able to create when contracting my face. Is there a certain surgery that would be able to create my after photo so I don't have to constantly contract my face? This is causing me terrible headaches.
I have been having such bad tearing burning pain in my lower eyelids to the top of my cheek, strained vision ,headaches,i usually have my right eye closed as much as possible or wear sun glasses and tape to the lower lid ..I have a suspicion it is ectropion but I am no doctor and I have no insurance and must wait and save for surgery ...what options do I have for pain ?any advice is greatly appreciated...also I worry of permanent damage if I have to wait please share your thoughts
i went to a doctor today and he told me that i have minor ptosis, and it better not to have surgery since it may let me not to relax while sleeping that my eye would feel like it is still opened. i feel tiredness ad headache while being outside in the sun for more than hour and i already have poor vision and glasses but i don't wear them. i uploaded a picture of me
Hi, I'm just wondering I had eyelid surgery 4 months ago. Ever since then. Iv been getting dizzy nearly everyday. A lot of headache's. And a pinching feeling in my eye. I'm sick of feeling dizzy. Is this normal after 4 months. Also feel like vomiting sometimes.
I've had this asymmetry for yrs; recently feels worse. Often catch myself raising brows to compensate & have headaches/sore forehead. When I pull up eyelids, upper peripheral vision improves, even somewhat on less squinty left eye. Might both benefit from intervention? I hear insurance is strict. Based on photo, any chance it might be covered? Realize tests would be req'd to confirm but just want idea if it might be medical/functional (I.e., require PCP referral even just for the consultation)
I've noticed bulging in my right eye only. I'm concerned about it mostly for cosmetic reasons. In pictures you can see that one eye is different than the other when I close my eyes. When I press down on that eye I get a headache but not when I do the same for the left eye. Just very recently I've been seeing flashes in the right eye and I'm not sure if it's related. I do have hypothyroidism but I'm taking Levothyroxine and my levels of T4 are normal. What can cause this and is there a solution?
I am 5 weeks out from lower lid bleph and my right eye is doing very well. My left eye has been painful and irritated the entire period. My eyes are uneven. I have tingling and throbbing in my outer area and it is painful to the touch. I have headaches almost daily and my eye feels like there is something in it. It also feels tight in the corner. I have to use drops daily. Is this normal at this point? I saw an opthamologist a week after my surgery and she did not find any issues. Please advise.
