I am also very fair and have sensitive skin. Cauterization has not been very effective for me, as many derms don't want to treat so close to the eye. (I also have them on my eyelids) Many creams and lotions make my eyes swollen
I had my upper lids done on 4/25/18. Since this time I have been getting what appears to be an abscess on the surgical line, one on each eye. I have had cortisone injections, had them opened and drained only to come back. My surgeon is at a loss and is now recommending we cut the abscess out and clean out the surgical sight, cauterize and re-suture. I am nervous to move forward with another surgery. What could be causing this? Would you recommend moving forward with this surgery?
I realize I cannot get ptosis surgery until dry eye is under control. I had punctual plugs that migrated so those are not an option. Xiidra is too expensive so I'm hoping tear duct cauterization could be done. Would that improve droopy lid? What happens if i get excessive tears, would my body eventually adjust? How long should I wait between procedures (cauterization and ptosis surgery)?
I had upper and lower Bleph with cauterization of my mallar festoons 3 months ago. At five weeks Co2 laser which seemed to make things look worse. At 3 months My festoons look worse, dark circles on cheeks, wrinkleling. I look awful. Have had laser for the pigment done 3 times, using hydocortisone as well as bleaching cream and warm soaks. I have seen no improvement in the last month. Doctor says healing is prolonged but Im progrssing. Im not seeing much progressing during the past month. Suggestions?
I'm scared, I got a blepharoplasty done exactly two weeks ago. My left eye is perfect but, my right eye lower eyelid is reddish yellowish in the center. My doctor told me 5 days after my procedure that the eyelid got a little scratched during the cauterization and that i would take some time to heal but it has been two weeks now.
