I receive injections of Dysport for the lines between my eyebrows and in my forehead to lift my brows and eyelids. I also receive injections of Restalyne in my tear troughs and beneath my eyes for under eye bags, in the area above my upper lip for lip lines, my lips for fuller lips, and the lines between my nose and mouth and the lines at the corners of my mouth. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I had a tiny amount of dysport injected into each side of my upper lip to get rid of a small line....I did not realize the effect it would have.....it's been 2 wks now and food and water is falling out of my mouth, feels like I just came from the dentist....& having trouble with the chewing motion....I realize this can't be dissolved, but is there anything I might be able to try to get this to wear off faster? Or am I going to be sipping pureed food through a straw for the next 3 months ?
Could I have permanent nerve damage since it still affects me and I have all the above issues? Over 2 years ago, I had dysport administered to my upper lip for lip lines. I have numbness tingling and spewing out of lip while drinking (non alcohol) and brushing my teeth. I am swollen inside the lip and at times spew from the side while I am chewing food and cannot rinse my mouth properly on the side and it feels sore.
In an effort to prevent the lip lines and from me puckering, the doctor injected along my upper lip. In doing so, my teeth no longer show when I smile. Three month is a long wait. How I wish he mention the trade off would be not to show off my smile, ugh! and I just had a lip lift in May.
In the Spring of 2014 I had dysport injections into my upper lip to address vertical lines. I had never treated this area before nor used Dysport. Now I have almost permanent flaking and redness of the skin on my upper lip. I have tried topical treatments and experimented with dietary changes - eliminating dairy, wheat and caffeine - to no effect. Its unsightly, itchy and irritating and I can't wear foundation or lipstick. Could this be a side effect of Dysport and is there an antidote?
