I had extraction and immediate implant in bottom right molar 5 weeks ago. 2 days later got severe constant throbbing in socket. Finally subsided after 3 weeks and 3 courses of antibiotics. Dentist baffled as to cause as everything looked good on exam, xray and CT. Things seemed ok for a week then 4 days ago I developed a lump on gum over the implant. Saw dentist 2 days ago and he said it was normal tissue healing. Due for crown fitting in 1 month. Does this look normal? It's mildly tender only.
I had a pre nolar and 2 molars extracted. Oral surgeon said 2 implants are necessary. After the implants were placed they healed for 2 months. I had the uncovering 4 days ago and 2 days after I stared to run a 102 fever and body and head aches and I could feel lile my abutment has a pulse in it. They feel like they are vibrateing. Tooth #5 always had gum recession before the implants but, after the uncovering it got worse.
I had a an tooth extraction (tooth 19) and dental bone graft on Oct 29 and endosteal implant on Jan 14. Cone beam was used. It has been almost a week and having throbbing pain on and off (feels like a tooth ache). Some tingling in lower lip as well. I went back to doctor for post -op and said nothing is wrong and no infection. What should I do?
I had apicoectomy done 2 weeks ago on upper front left toot (due to GP overfill that caused bone imflamation) .The root canal was filled with bioceramic root canal sealer during apicoectomy. The material got above the apex as it is visible on x-ray. Surgeon claims it is no problem. But i still have strong throbbing pulsating pain in that area. He told me to wait a bit more. Shall I ask him to redo apicoectomy and remove that excess material. Please advise
Its 8 days since apico on 21. Looks like it didnt work coz I have the same severe trobbing pulsating pain as before the operation. I got 2nd pack of antibiotics even though on x-ray it looks good, told me to wait 1 more week and if pain is still there, he wants to pull out the tooth. I went for 2nd opinion, and they said based on CT scan it looks like there is still lesion at the back of the root. Can I redo the apicoectomy now? X-ray before apico attached for idea, i dont have one after.
Three weeks after two dental implants the inside of my gums are still swollen, painful and throbbing. The dentist has x-rayed them and all is fine, no infection, no movement, but I would not expect pain at this stage, as everything I've read says it should be better by 10 days. I have inflammation in a sinus near the site and I have autoimmune thyroid disease which I understand can lead to soft tissue problems. At what point should I be thinking this has failed?
So I've had my dental implant put in 10 days ago &it is on the upper jaw second tooth from the front. This is my second time trying since the first time it regected, I have one implant on the other side that healed very well. This new implant is throbbing slightly and hurts to touch the gum still and I can sometimes feel it pulsating is this normal or should I be concerned I really want this to heal well. Any feed back would be great thanks.
I just got the teeth part of my dental plants put on 3 days ago. I have 5 of them done and the one on top is still throbbing. It hurts terribly and there's now a bump on the same side of the roof of m mouth. Infection?
