10 day old dental implant is throbbing and pulsating slightly?

Question

So I've had my dental implant put in 10 days ago &it is on the upper jaw second tooth from the front. This is my second time trying since the first time it regected, I have one implant on the other side that healed very well. This new implant is throbbing slightly and hurts to touch the gum still and I can sometimes feel it pulsating is this normal or should I be concerned I really want this to heal well. Any feed back would be great thanks.

Everybody heals at slightly different rates based on a variety of factors. 10 days post-operatively following a single implant placement may or may not be of concern. Take a look at the area, if it seems red, significantly swollen still along with the pain your are experiencing, it may be prudent to schedule a follow up with the treating doctor. 
Make sure you are doing your part as the patient to maintain excellent oral hygiene so that the wound does not develop a secondary infection. If your doctor has not already given you a prescription for anti-microbial mouth wash, then definitely ask your doctor if they would consider that as a means to help you keep the area as clean as possible. It could be totally normal for implant placement if you had any bone grafting material placed or procedure was a bit invasive. I would contact the dentist that placed an implant since they do know how procedure was performed. Best of luck and I hope it heals fast for you.
