How long should I have pain after the tooth is seated on the implant?

I had my implant put in about 8 months ago. I had no pain during or after. 3 days ago I got my tooth seated on the implant and I have had a lot of throbbing pain. How long will this last? Thank you.

Usually after seating a crown there should not be throbbing pain and if there is any pain it’s usually minor discomfort from the gums for a few days. Please go back ASAP to the dentist to take an x-ray, check the bite and figure out the source of the pain.

Typically we don't see throbbing pain as a result of crown insertion on implants. If it hasn't subsided I would have it re-evauated to see if something more is contributing like heavy bite force trapped cement (if it was cemented).
