I know it will be at least 3 weeks until I am able to return to my routine post laser treatment. I was wondering what are some recommendations to keep the new skin healthy looking its best. All I have ever used is a vit C serum with hyaluronic acid and hydra boost moisturizer. Should I add a retinol? I am only post-laser day 3 so I have time, just thinking in advance. Recommendations?
I recently had my first treatment for syringomas with CO2RE (syneron), initially I thought it looked flatter but over the next 3 days I realized the syringomas all looked about the same. Does the size shrink overtime? Based on images how many treatments will I need? What settings should I ask the dermatologist to use? I am suspicious she isnt using a strong enough setting but Id rather have hyperpigmentation than the bumps!
I am booked to have a deep co2re laser next week and been prescribed anti-viral meds to take the day before treatment and each day after until fully healed. Naturally I am getting more nervous about the procedure and I am really looking for any information possible on what to expect during and then recovery period. Are there things I can do to speed up the recovery and ensure correct healing/no infection.
I had co2re full face done 10 days ago and have been getting small spots of petechiae. Last night my face was itchy and I scratched the area thinking it was ok bc there was no scab there and when I looked in the mirror it looks like I have a hickey on my cheek. I'm devastated. Is this normal and what would help it to fade faster?
Prior to the procedure I was told that I will not need pain relief.I trusted the clinician and I didn't think anything. This was the most traumatic experience I've ever had in my entire life. It was that bad that I was clenching my jaw & the bed so hard! My whole body was uncontrollably shaking from the pain and shock.I have been non stop crying, This was so traumaticI can't believe what I have just gone through. I don't know what to do because I cannot go through that again.
CO2RE done on my face 5 months ago for removal of acne scarring and acne flare ups. I was taking 100mg of spironolactone and just recently weened off due to lack of effectiveness. 2wks after treatment I started experiencing:horrible acne, terrible texture & pitted scarring much worse than before & severe depressions where cortisone shots were needed, severe appearance of wrinkles look very aged & have constant peri oral dermatitis out breaks.Severely depressed.Any chance of a turn around?
I have had an aggressive, ablative C02 laser resurfacing done on my face in 2000 when the procedure first came out, it was done under general anesthetic. The Dr did 2 passes. It has lasted 20 yrs but it is time to do a refresh laser as I am getting wrinkles around my mouth and eyes. I am wondering if a 2nd C02 laser is safe to do over the previous and what type of c02 laser will give results like the 1st one as the results were great. The Dr is no longer practicing that did the 1st one.
Is it safe to do a Sciton Profractional laser 5 1/2 weeks before getting a CO2Re laser resurfacing? If not, how long would I need to wait to try a profractional laser or RF microneedling treatment after my CO2Re laser? Also, I am in my early 40s. How much improvement might I see in my acne scars? They are mostly old rolling scars. Thank you!!
