I was using Vaseline and vinegar soaks and switched over to DML Lotion. I was considering using eucerin night cream redness relief. One because it is thick and I believe it can keep my skin moisturized and two it is supposed to help with the redness. Will there be any side effects to using a cream like this? Thank you
2 weeks ago I have a facelift and Co2 laser under my eyes. On about day 8 or 9 I awoke with BURNING red eyes and washed the Aquaphore (vaseline) off and reapplied. I started using my prescription dry eye drops about the same time. I stopped after the CO2 just so I wouldn't drip any onto the lasered area. Could the burning be my dry eye drops? Should I continue to use it and see if the burning eases? The burning usually just happens in the a.m. upon waking.
On Thurs. I had CO2 resurfacing laser done to improve the texture of skin on my nose after having Mohs Surgery a year ago. The instructions do not address my questions so I would like to know your suggestions.
I never received specific instructions for after care, just to wash with a gentle cleanser and keep Vaseline on it. How often should I wash my face though? And how much Vaseline? Like a thick coat? Is it possible to wash too much and put too much Vaseline on? I don't want to risk hurting my skin. Please help me, I would really appreciate some guidance. I tried calling my doctor's office today and the medical assistant was very vague on what I should do even though I asked her for specific instructions.
I had fractional CO2 laser treatment 4 days ago on my face, neck, and chest. Skin on neck and chest reacted poorly to Vaseline. Red raised bumps/rash. On call weekend dr. recommended I discontinue and switch to the gentle moisturizer provided by my dr. I do not think it is enough and my skin is EXTREMELY dry, red, and overall just angry. What can I do to calm my skin back down. Face is healing great. Thank you.
I had a full face ablation with CO2 laser about 2 weeks ago. I have been using aquaphor and vaseline on my face all day everyday.. my face still feels right and dry after washing. When am I able to wear regular moisturizer and foundation? And what it the best makeup and moisturizer to use. The procedure was done because of acne scarring.
I've used proactiv many times before and it helps me heal faster. now I had alot of acne scars so i decided to go for the c02 laser resurfacing after the procedure my skin was crusty and bloody but my doctor told me to wash my face with vinegar and water and then apply vaseline. now that the crusting is gone i was wondering what do doctors feel about proactiv for post op co2 ?
I get a CO2 laser done yearly and am told to use Vaseline / Aquaphor / Elta Md's Salve which seems too occlusive for my sensitive acne skin (clogging pores & I have breakouts) even on antibiotics. Can I use hydrogel in a tube which hospitals recommend to burn patients, those with ulcers, wounds etc? Any brands you recommend?
