I had chin lipo and platysmaplasty done over a year and a half ago. I have had 4 laser treatments on my scar which has helped soften if but I still have dog ears. My main concern is the skin sagginess. Im 34, my neck should not look like this! Are there any further treatments I can do to tighten that skin? Do I need a revision? Im nervous about a revision as my first recovery was not easy and I do have some scar tissue remaining under my chin.
I'm under 40, exercise daily, diet well but have always had a double chin, and since the procedure now have loose skin around my jawline. Over the years I've had a variety of procedures (listed below): Kybella Coolsculpting Chin Lipo A 2nd lipo that resulted in a seroma (there is still scar tissue under my chin that you can feel when you pinch under that area) Thermage Profound RF My jawline only looks ok when I'm not talking or my head isn't tiled at an angle. Is there anything I can do?
Hello! A year and a half ago I underwent chin Lipo and developed a ball of scar tissue in my chin. I decided to go for round two to see if they can break it up and now it's developing a larger in both sides. I do get weekly professional lymphatic massages with ultrasonic radiation and I massage myself as well twice a day in the face and in the chin. I am confused why this is happening and how I can make it go away. Please help. What do you suggest?
First, let me say my doctor said this is normal and I have no reason to distrust him. Im just a bit of a worrier. I have searched and while I have found many posts about lumps and swelling, none of them look like mine. I am 10 days post op from extended submental liposuction. I noticed a cannula shaped raised area under both sides of my chin presumably where he passed the cannula through. Is this swelling? Scar tissue? Will it go away or am I botched?
Hello I have decided to get another Lipo on my chin after fat grafting in the first place and removing some of IT a couple of months later. This time all the fat should have been removed. The doctor said he couldnt remove anything at all since there was too much scar tissue. And that I had yo live with IT. What are my options now? Do I have to live with this for all my life? Are there any solutions left? Thanking you
I had chin liposuction a few years ago, it appeared to be fine at first, but recently I lost some weight and I think it uncovered some underlying issues. I have attached a picture of me which reveals an irregularity under my chin. I would like to know two things: 1. What is causing it (is it damaged muscle or scar tissue?) 2. How can it be fixed? Thank you
Had Laser Lipo 4.5 months ago. Is this area in the center of my neck loose skin, scar tissue, or platysmal muscle? It appeared at about three weeks post-surgery. I lean away from it being platysmal because when I force my platysmal muscles to show, the area is between the muscles and doesnt seem related to them. The area feels like a hard little band, and I have it at all times including at rest. It is not visible when I put my head back but I can still feel it with my fingers. Thank you.
I understand I am experiencing a side effect of chin lipo. I am unable to pull down my lower lip. Is it more common to happen to one, or both sides? Does laser lipo increase damage? I have had neck lipo before, I experienced numbness to one side of my lip but never paralysis. Does the scar tissue due to multiple treatments increase the risk of permanency? I know that time typically improves this but I am trying to see how much of a risk I am at for permanent damage.
