I had a chin implant swapped out for a larger one a few months ago and my lower lip shrunk significantly. I did not have fillers within 6 months of surgery but I have previously had a v to the y plasty to augment my lips. I know the bigger implant can cause the lip to look smaller relatively but as you can see the difference is there even when I edit out my chin. It is very noticeable and distressing. I dont like thin lips, has the incision in my mouth reversed the augmentation I had?
In 2013 got a medpore chin implant which looked. to big for my face so a couple of weeks later I asked my surgeon to remove it but he insisted just cut the sides to make it look smaller. after, I kept the implant for 6 more months and finally got it removed. So I got chin ptosis which treated with botox until the last 2 years where botox is not working any more, my lower lip is loose and shrink in the middle, I am not able to close my mouth with having to make a big effort. I need help
I'm 27 and considering having custom peek mandibular / jaw / gonial implants to augment my jaw. I have seen images of skulls that show that they shrink as we age which made me think that what happens 20 / 40 / 60 years post surgery as the skull changes shape to the implants? Will they come loose and wobble or detach completely if the screws loosen or the implant no longer conforms perfectly to the receding bone?
Hi.. 2.5 months ago I exchanged my silicon 7 mm button implant to a silicone anatomical 12 mm, both placed submentally. The previous one was placed too high and tilted so I had it exchanged, now the area where the old implant was is still swollen and ruins the shape of the new implant. Is this the capsule from the old implant or just post op swelling? Is there anything I can do to help it shrink or dissolve faster? The old implant was there for 7 months before revision. Thank you.

After 40, my face has changed a lot. It's becoming round and fatty. My profile was not like this few years ago. I have noticed my upper jaw and cheeks getting bigger or fattier and lower jaw is shrinking. Looking for angel's hand in tristate area.
I got chin implant 12 days ago. It was small 5mm extended anatomical silicone incision made under the chin. 2 days later i got it removed. No infection just didnt like it. mplant was there only. 52 hours. Now my chin looks bigger and like pulled down than before. I am 25 y/o healty female. Is it ptosis? Is there chance it can shrink back ? Why does it happen since implant was small and stayed only 2 days. Will it permanent? Pls answer i need experts opinion Is it gonne be worse when i get older
I am a 42 year old female. I had a chin implant (silicone) put in about 14 years ago.Since then I've had two kids and my weight has fluctuated. I was happy with the chin at first but now it looks a lot smaller. My face has obviously changed in that time but not so much (im still slim) that my lower face looks much more rounded now and the implant seems much smaller. Cn they shrink over time?im also concerned about illness from the implant, like breast implant illness. Is this possible?
