4 weeks ago I had Buccal fat removal through liposuction vs normal Buccal mucosa incision . My lower part of my cheeks are swollen and feel numb and hurt if I touch them. I am unable to sleep on my side because I will have a burning sensation where I still have swelling I can feel lumps .Not sure if is nerve damage ? swelling? Or infection?
I took antibiotics for the first 7 days, and now am off it. Because of my scar, i can't really brush my teeth near it and am worried it could cause an infection, it's also a bit yellow, could it be bad hygine? I use a mouthwash , colgate peroxyl, i wonder if its enough to keep a good hygine .Secondly, i really like to do musculation and some say 2 weeks off is enough and some other say more like 3-4 weeks. Thanks in advance!
I got buccal fat removal done. Today marks day 9. I've been very cautious with the procedure but I noticed that the inside on my right cheek where the incision was turned into a hole.. the other side is closing up fine.. is this normal or does it look like an infection ...
I had my surgery yesterday the doctor started with my right side he spent 45 min to find the fat and he had a lot of work in this side the left side took only 15 min the day post I have swollen face but it is numb and very swollen in the right side is there any possibility that a nerve has been enjured or the silvery gland??and what are the signs??how can I distinguish if it is normal swell or an infection?when I touch it from inside with my tongue I feel it tender and this side is warm
Some years ago I had a wisdom tooth infection which had swollen my entire right cheek. After that, I believe, I am not sure to be honest, my buccal fat pad had dropped closer to my jowl. Is this possible? Also, when I gain weight, the extra volume is added to solely that fat pad; I can feel it and pinch it with my fingers as well. Also, if I lose weight, will the volume leave the pocket/fat pad? Thank you.
