Question

4 weeks ago I had Buccal fat removal through liposuction vs normal Buccal mucosa incision . My lower part of my cheeks are swollen and feel numb and hurt if I touch them. I am unable to sleep on my side because I will have a burning sensation where I still have swelling I can feel lumps .Not sure if is nerve damage ? swelling? Or infection?

Swelling and cheek tenderness post buccal fat removal tends to last just few days in 90% of the patients. However in 10% of the patients it could be severe and lasts several days to weeks. 
Patients with questions and concerns about their buccal fat removal healing process should address those concerns with the surgeon that performed the operation, ideally during a follow up consultation

There can be swelling, which will gradually resolve over the next several weeks. However, I recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns. Hope this helps.
