Hello. I had an endoscopic forehead lift and I am not satisfied with the results. My hairline has receded by 1cm, making my forehead look huge, and the brow shape is too high and asymmetrical. Fixations were done via bone tunneling using dissolvable sutures. There are 5 incision points with 1 fixation on the left side and 2 fixations on the right side. I have read there is such thing as too long to reverse the results. When would this be?
He said they would probably dissolve but that if they didn't, he would remove them at my follow up appointment about 6 weeks after surgery. I still have the sutures and i have had slight bleeding on 2 ocassions. I will see him this week but my question is, were his recommendations the right thing to do? Were they left in too long? Will this worsen the scarring? The incisions were in my hairline
My surgeon failed to remove the non absorbable blue sutures one one side x after 7 weeks and a lot of pain I now have a abscess from the imbedded sutures ! On antibiotics but will they need to be removed !? I cannot take anymore of this nightmare x went for a bilateral bleph. Surgeon butchered my brow no bleph and doing my best to heal but it's one hurdle after another ! Please help x
After a direct brow lift on day ten my surgeon could not remove the right side suture line x it was a nonabsorbable blue suture material x he said it would not cause any inflammation. I have developed a suture abscess and can see the blue close to the inflamed area x should this be removed under local to stop future inflammations ??
I had an eyebrow lift on my right side for reconstructive purposes from a car accident. This is my 3rd eyebrow lift trying to raise it. This time the doctor put titanium screws, an endotine & sutures to keep it in place. He said the endotine will absorb but small screws are permanent. I believe they are titanium. Everything I read says they are usually removed after surgery. Is it okay that mine arent? Could there be any side effects or I have any problems from them staying in? Im concerned.
I had a browlift with cortical tunnels and sutures almost 2 months ago. After the procedure the brows were arched great and the skin on my eyelids were pretty tight. As the days passed I noticed my brows lowering and the extra eyelid skin becoming noticeable again. I wanted the lift to reduce heaviness in my lids, to create an arch and to have brow symmetry as my right brow was lower. It's really depressing I've spent my savings on this and I feel it didn't work. Is it my body rejecting it?
At a loss, don't know what to do. Surgeon says looks good. Cortical tunnels with internal sutures 6/7/16. Two incisions which left a gap didn't heal nicely at all.My brows/lids are back as before. Forehead and scalp still tingly and numb in spots. All over hair loss. Main concerns now, can I have a redo, which procedure is best?Waited so long for this, saved up $ only to have it fail. Parents think I'm nuts. Looked in the mirror 38 yrs I know what I look like and know what I WANTED to look like.
