I am scheduled on Thursday for a mastopexy and implant. I'm becoming increasingly terrified of the potential of necrosis of the nipple. I know it's small chance but ive seen enough people on here that have experienced it and it terrifies me. I have minor ptosis (grade 1)... would my surgeon perform the implants without a lift if I asked? Do you think he would see me to discuss this week though my surgery is Friday?
Hello, I'm starting to get consultations for breast lifts with implants. I'm currently a deflated 32A (5'1, 110lbs) after having babies and looking to get a breast lift along with implants (ideally 350cc). One surgeon that I have talked to has said that he would not be willing to go any higher than 250cc for implant due to risk of nipple necrosis. No other surgeons have said anything about this, so would love to hear additional insight on this topic.
My question is that I want to go quite big and bolted looking, is the risk a lot more with going to a higher cc with lift due to the possibility of circulation issues and nipple necrosis? I have spoken to about 6 surgeons one said he would do 700cc for me Im 54 and 150lbs go to the gym a lot so quite toned. bra size currently is 34c i know its hard to tell with just a description, but Im just concerned with the safety, if the doctor is just telling me what I want to hear to get my money?
I am getting a breast lift w/ implant in 4 months. However, I was vaping for a few years (if I could guess, the equivalent to one or two cigarettes a day?). Well I quit a couple of weeks ago (with no interest of starting again) to prepare for surgery day, will I have significantly reduced my risk of nipple necrosis? Im worried if I should push my surgery another 6 months.
I have necrosis on my nipple and under the anchor scar to the left of where it meets the T. I immediately started nitro bid and hyperbaric chamber treatments What is next and there after? Am I going to lose implant? Should I seek a wound specialist? Will it have to be removed can someone explain the process moving forward ?!
I had a breast lift with implants 8 months ago. Unfortunately the blood supply to 1 nipple was compromised and the tissue died. I had care for next couple of months to heal the area. I now have a hard lump in that area thats very uncomfortable and and white spots keep appearing on the nipple area that produce white thick discharge. My PS said the lump was probably fat necrosis and should go away but it isnt and its feeling more uncomfortable. Does this sound like something more sinister?
I got implants with breast lift I am 2 weeks post op. My dr. Has left the tapes on and are supposed to be removed this week. I have been noticing a slight smell on my right boob, today I saw it was leaking some fluid / dark maybe serous sanguineous seems to be. I cant see what it is because there is tape covering it. I called my dr. Right away and I am seeing him tomorrow , but he mentioned it sounds like fat necrosis. I dont know what to expect can someone explain
Hey doctors, One nipple is perfect and the other is worrying me a little. My PS took the tapes off to air them out and put some kind of cream on them for circulation. He also recommended I put neosporin around the nipples. Should I worry or relax?
So about a week after my breast lift with implants I noticed my areola was bleeding a little bit. I looked closer and noticed about 1/2 of it was black and after research learned this was necrosis. I contacted my surgeon and was told to clean it daily with saline and apply antibiotic cream twice daily. He says the pigment should return within a year. Im just looking for more opinions. Does it look like a severe case? Does it look like the pigment will return? What is the yellow stuff leaking?
Is it getting Better or can it get worst?i got my breast lift with reduction and small implants 235 cc mentor shaped on 10.11 so I'm 1 week post op after surgery my right breast nipple and areola was completely purple /black colour its seams like it's getting better , would like to ask more opinion ? Other then that so happy with result just hoping everything will heal well :)
