I am one week post op from have BA surgery. My incisions look fine, I have no symptoms of infection. However they are still covered with steri strips. My right incision has been causing tremendous amount of discomfort since day 2 post op. It burns when I move, it feels irritated, I also feel as though it's pulling somehow. I wanted to try to remove the steri strips but decided that may not be the best idea. Is this normal ?
I just changed my dressings 48 hours post op as directed and as I was removing gauze, one of the steri strips covering my nipple was stuck to the gauze and started to come off with the gauze. I managed to peel the strip away from the gauze and place it back over the nipple but I am worried it won't serve it's purpose since it has been lifted. I don't want to risk I anything, what should I do? It is Friday night as well and I won't be able to reach my surgeon until Monday!!! Help!
i am 2 weeks post op and i noticed my strips were bleeding ..under the breast... The bleeding isn't bad. It's like a light bloody nose. But the bleeding hasn't stopped. I've applied pressure and band aids that seemed to help. I also had to return to work and it requires me to life paitents. Not lifting over 20 bls and it doesn't hurt. But even though I don't feel pain could I have damaged something inside? I also noticed when I pulled the strips back I had holes ? What are they? What should I do
I had my BA on Monday 12/11. I got under the muscle and incision under my breast. For the last 2 days I have been having a burning/stinging feeling at one of my incision sites. It occurs when I get up or move in a certain way. I called my PS office they said it is just nerves but Im still concerned. There is no swelling/redness/heat but I can see some old blood under the steri stripes.
My left incision seems fine whereas my right incision is having some sort of white discharge. I took these photos after the shower, since the steri strips are wet you are able to see through them. I dried them with a blow dryer after taking these photos, as I was instructed to by my PS. I am unable to ask my PS in person because I live out of town. There is 0 pain or heat around the incision or breast. Also, I was put on antibiotics after my surgery, but have already completed them.
I had a BA done 4/3/17 my last apt was a wk ago and nurse said I was healing fine and was instructed to remove my steri strips 4/17/17 which I did and both incisions look good except for about an inch of one of the incisions
Hey(: I just have a quick question, I just recantly had a BA on June 28th.. I recently made the mistake of covering my steri strips with bandaids rather then Gauze as its easier and conseils nicely with my skin.. however when I removed the bandaids later that evening it ripped out a couple of my steri strips on my left breast! It didnt necessarily hurt it was just uncomfortable.. heres a pic of the insisions, do they look okay? Should I be worried? Ive been putting polyporin on it regularly..
I had my breast augmentation last Thursday and one of my steri strips fell off. It's a Saturday so I can't go into my doctor's office today, but should I cover the incision with paper tape? The incision looks a little bruised but totally normal.
I had my breast augmentation done in January and it's been about 6 weeks. The steri strips are still on the incision very strongly and are not threading or budging. My left incision feels very itchy and I'm getting a little worried if this is normal. Could I try to remove this myself? Thank you.
