Hey, all! Please give your honest feedback, as if it were you or a loved one. Back in 2016-17 when I was 19 weeks pregnant with twins, it was discovered I developed blood clots, which traveled to my lungs. I was put on blood thinners for the duration of my pregnancy and 6 weeks after. Since having my children, it has not occurred again. I have been cleared by my PCP, also hematologistand had test ran. It was recommended blood thinners after surgery. Would it be too risky? I am 27!
Hello :) I have as surgery (mini tummy tuck and bbl) scheduled on 4th of July and I got my first dose of vaccine in the 26th, I am concerned if I should postpone it as my doc give blood thinning medication too before surgery! Thank you in advance for your help.
Would or could you be given a blood thinner in order to advoid a fatty embolism is that even an option and are there travel precautions you should be wary of because of the degree of lipo done? For example if you are traveling out of the country for the procedure and need to return home?
I'm hoping to have BBL surgery done in June/July. I've heard a few too many stories lately of mothers dying from this surgery. Although I know its rare - as a mother it makes me nervous. Last year I had labwork that considered me to have borderline protein c deficiency. Not abnormal enough for blood thinners. I want to be as careful as possible to come home to my son. Are there doctors that do this procedure in a hospital setting and if so what is a realistic cost? Thank you in advance!
