I got a cbct before braces, and I was informed that my lower right milk canine never fell out, and that my permanent teeth was impacted. The dentists surgically extracted both and I was told the space could be widened and I could get an implant in its place. But almost 4 years after,I still have braces and the dentist told me the space cannot be widened and its still too small for an impant. What should i do? Can this space be closed by braces instead of an implant?
My upper right canine is got fractured recently. X-rays shows that only lower gum(Crown part has been fractured) and the tooth can be saved by root canal and crowning. I am also willing to wear braces and as i have heard, it requires tooth extraction. So should i get my tooth extracted or save it. Will braces will be able to bridge that gap. Also how long should i wait for braces after getting root canal and crowing in two tenths( Upper canines and first molar). Kindly help!!
i visited orthodontist & in x-ray a permanent canine is in bone & he said it'll take 3 yrs for it to come down through permanent braces when baby canine will be removed. main concern: 1.is adult canine strong & in status of actually come out ever? 2. if canine in bone removed & braces r put on my baby canine so will that baby canine able to persist braces' pressure? 3.best or other option from you expert saving time & give me the strongest canine out of them & evened incisors with braces on it ?
In the past I had a very bad orthodontic treatment which ended up with extraction of canine and premolar from lower left jaw. So I want to know is it possible to regain space for an Canine implant. And will I have to get my wisdom tooth removed?
Hello, I'm almost at the end of my Invisalign treatment and I'm less than thrilled with my lower teeth. The canines are protruding too much: even tho they are aligned at the top, at the bottom they are sticking out. Can this be corrected with Invisalign, maybe during refinements? Or will I need traditional braces? Unfortunately I find it very difficult to speak with my dentist as he doesn't like questions. (!?) Any advice will be appreciated.
Im 23 with a high canine, how do I go about fixing this as Ive left it for a bit too long? My premolar also broke in half and then fell out recently, will that missing tooth help align the teeth with braces easier? As I've been seeing tooth extraction is key to fixing it. Thanks guys happy quarantine ! :)
I went to the orthodontist a while ago and was told I need two upper teeth removed, expanders for my upper teeth, and braces for my top and bottom possibly. I wanted to just get my canine tooth pulled since the overcrowding of my teeth on the top isn't bothering me as much. I was told it might be too late for the expanders and that they might have to break my jaw in order for it to work.
Eventually I got oral surgery for my canines & the result of the surgery was successful. The right side canine came down but 2 years later the left side STILL wont come down. Im trying to think logically here; if the canine is aligned correctly, why cant it be pulled straight down? The orthodontist didnt say I have any dental conditions either, so I should be fine.? I need some insight because I refuse to get oral surgery again if its still possible for my canine to naturally come down.
