Is it possible to create space with the help of braces? (Photos)

In the past I had a very bad orthodontic treatment which ended up with extraction of canine and premolar from lower left jaw. So I want to know is it possible to regain space for an Canine implant. And will I have to get my wisdom tooth removed?

You can gain space by uprighting and distalisation of the lower posteriors. For that you need to get your third molar extracted to create space . Fixed orthodontics can help you achieved like that . Basic issue is with occlusion. During previous orthodontic treatment, proper occlusion is not achieved—no need to extract more teeth to create space or gain space to replace the extracted tooth. Visit the orthodontist and tell him to achieve proper occlusion without extraction or gaining space. A good orthodontist will manage that.

You can definitely open space with braces but your orthodontist has to evaluate your bite since an upper premolar was extracted last time.. You  want to make sure your bite is still stable after the space for canine is reopened. Good luck!

Too bad you lost the canine. It is such an important tooth. I really cannot answer your question from this x-ray alone. To place an implant 6 mm of space is the minimum. Ask your orthodontist if he can create 6mm of space. If the wisdom tooth is removed, then the other teeth can be moved backward, but again I would need to see you in person to determine if this is appropriate and necessary for your situation.
