Is it posible to have sharp canines and braces?

I’m 24 and have sharp canines and crooked teeth. I’ve been wanting braces forever but really don’t want my canines to be sanded down. Is it possible to have braces and them not mess with the shape of those four teeth?

Hello, Yes, it is not always necessary to polish the edges of teeth. The pointy edges will often round on their own with regular chewing and functioning. Many patients ask us to do a very small amount of polishing of the edge for esthetics.
