I had Bell's palsy in Oct 2023, and I promptly received treatment w/ steroids, which resulted in a great recovery. However, there are some minor facial issues that I would like to address such as masseter muscle, undereye wrinkles, lift my eyebrows, and balance my face. I consulted a dr in Tijuana who expressed concerns that any application of Botox may trigger a new episode of Bell's palsy. Could you clarify whether receiving Botox poses a risk of causing Bell's palsy to recur?
I had box done to my forehead, outer eyebrows (to lift them up) and upper cheeks 30 day ago. Last night I noticed while brushing my teeth that I couldnt close my mouth properly, and water was dribbling out from the left side, and I couldnt blink my left eye, I thought I was having a heart attack and went to emergencies and go prescribed steroids and diagnosed with Bells palsy. Just curious is Botox couldve been the cause of this situation even 30 days later.
For the first time ever, this past Friday I received Botox injections in my forehead and in between my eyebrows. Sunday morning (approx. 40 hours later) I woke up to a red, itchy, rash across my forehead. I called the dermatologists nurse who informed me that it was an allergic reaction to the numbing gel they used. She recommended hydrocortisone cream 3x/day and said it could take a week to clear up. Im not sure I can handle this for a week.
I have a condition called ankylosing spondylitis, and I take CIMZIA injection (TNF blocker) and NSAIDs every now and then when I have a flare up. I also sometimes get uveitis which I treat with steroid eye drops. Is it safe to have facial botox?
1st reaction with eyelash extensions, woke the next am to swollen eyes. I'd been doing my lashes for a year, had experienced some itching & swelling, but nothing like this. Was gone in a week w/o medicine Recent reaction when getting a Restalyne touchup -I believe it was from the numbing cream because I only had filler on 1 side of my face, but the cream on both sides. Was prescribed a steroid , swelling went away after a couple days. I have had filler before with no reaction same dr/cream
I had a rhinoplasty on 27th Jan. I have booked in with a different doctor on 21st April to have a top up of lip and cheek fillers along with Botox. I have my 8 week post op check up with my Rhino doctor the day before and he has informed me that sometimes stubborn swelling requires steroid injections. Will these two injectables interfere with one another?
I am currently on my first cycle of a oral steroid called anavar and I am going to get some more Botox and lip fillers(juverderm). I am a little hesitant since I haven't found much information online about this topic. Please someone tell me if they counteract
