Hi Doctors! I hope you are doing well! I had botox injections in my forehead and glabella 4 months ago...the next day, I suddenly could not squint my eye. My forehead is back to normal but I still cannot squint my eye. I am wondering what to do about this and if I will be able to squint my eye again. (And hoping this is not permanent!!) Thank you for your care and advice!
When I smile I get dimples like this on both sides of my face and they bother me tremendously. If I smile gently and try not to let my cheeks go up they're not there. I am wondering if I can get Botox injected in my levator labii superioris muscle so that I can smile strongly as I usually do without the dimples appearing. If I do this will my mouth/smile freeze or look deformed? Thanks!
I had Bells Palsy on the right side of my face in 2011. Before I had it both of my eyes would squint fairly evenly when I smiled although my right eye was slightly smaller. Over the years my right eye has looked smaller and smaller and my left eye doesnt squint as much. I now have noticeable asymmetry at rest and my right eye feels both weak and tight (if that makes sense). an o/p surgeon has recommended Botox around my right eye. Is this the right treatment I am afraid my eye will droop
My left eye (though in these pictures it's the one on the right), has a severe astigmatism which I think has caused slight asymmetry in my eyes (is this possible?). My left eye has always had a squint when I smile and I notice that it looks different from my right eye when relaxed (see photos for reference). Would botox for my left crows feet or something help with the asymmetry in my eyes? Would lasik surgery help the physical asymmetry because it would fix the astigmatism?
I'm getting Botox in forehead, 11's, crow's feet, & masseter muscle. I know Botox is sensitive to migration for 4-6 hours after injection. I'm a very expressive talker & I make a lot of facial expressions in conversation. With the 4 areas I'm getting Botox, it safe to raise eyebrows, wrinkle forehead, make frown lines, squint, chew food, smile, & make other facial expressions immediately after Botox? Also, can I wear sunglasses or a hat? I'm concerned about Botox migrating to unintended areas.
34 female, I recently uploaded a pic of swollen left eyelid. Appears it was an allergic reaction to an insect bite bc it was gone within 12 hrs. However. It's been a full 72 hrs (26 units of Botox) and I can still squint and scrunch brows? It's STARTING to become a BIT less easy to do so but shouldn't I NOT be able to? Or will it take a bit longer? Will the top forehead lines go away? Kelly (Toronto)
The inner half of my eyebrows are pushed down, my eyelids are hidden and my eyes appear to be squinted. Called the MD and they said, You only had 18 units! Nothing that can be done to lift your brows. I will not be going back there. I thought maybe other muscles could be injected to offset this. I called a plastic surgeon and even the person there sounded doubtful but reluctantly made me an appt. Is there anything that can be done to lift the portion of my eyebrows that are pushed down?
I had botox for my squint last Tuesday and then had blood tests on Friday that showed my eGFR had dramatically decreased to 30 and my creatinine had increased to 222 my doctor has done repeat bloods and I await the results I am just concerned that maybe the botox has severally damaged my kidneys
