I had Bell’s Palsy on the right side of my face in 2011. Before I had it both of my eyes would squint fairly evenly when I smiled although my right eye was slightly smaller. Over the years my right eye has looked smaller and smaller and my left eye doesn’t squint as much. I now have noticeable asymmetry at rest and my right eye feels both weak and tight (if that makes sense). an o/p surgeon has recommended Botox around my right eye. Is this the right treatment I am afraid my eye will droop

Answer: Uneven Eyes First of all please know that you are beautiful and thank you for your question. I do appreciate the asymmetry but I do not believe that it is secondary to your Bells Palsy. It seems to me that your upper lids are even as are your eyes . The difference that I appreciate is in the appearance and position of your lower lids. Treating you with Botox in the frown line area could open up your eyes but is not going to affect the lower lid. Your condition clearly bothers you but likely is not noticeable by others. That being said, the best person for you to seek advice from would be an occuloplastic surgeon. All the best from Gig Harbor WA Judith Rubin, MD|Nouveau Medspas

Answer: Botox for facial asymmetry There is minimal asymmetry and this maybe within normal limits. I would recommend against treating in your case. I don't think there is much to be gained from the treatment. Honestly, your face looks good.
