Hi, I had Botox injected for my smile as it pulls higher on one side when I smile. However, it was a small amount and hasnt made any difference, I wonder if the injection site is wrong as it was injected lateral to my philtrum below the nose as opposed to Yonsei point. Do you think an injection at Yonsei point would help ? Please advice. Thanks
Elvis muscle right side area of concern. Snarland even feels strange. First rhino. 2011. Surgeon also cut something that would drop my lips a bit more, fix a slight gummy smile. Not sure if issue started then of after second rhino. in 2015. I can actually go into my mouth, upper lip area and press on the muscle/maxilla and it will temporarily reduce the pinching when I smile. Is this nerve damage? Will Botox help relax permanently? This gives me apparent asymmetrical smile/nasolabial folds.
I would like to know what my options are to shorten my philtrum. I am 30 and have read that being young and having keloid scarring is not a good combination for that procedure. I do not have a gummy smile and do not want a procedure that will reduce upper teeth show. I don't like the idea of fillers to shorten it because I have read that fillers can weigh down the upper lip, which would lengthen the philtrum even more in the long run. Is a botox lip flip a good option?
this is my first time. i've always been self conscious about my long philtrum; my top lip sort of curls under when i speak. i got 4 units of botox above top lip & 1mL juvederm. in my (obviously) unprofessional opinion, the sides of my mouth are too small & my top lip isnt filled enough. my crooked smile has never bugged me but now it seems more crooked. i know its been 3 days, but is this typical? will the product disperse to other corners of my mouth? will my top lip fill out more?
I have a long philtrum and would like to know if injecting botox beneath the nose will lift the upper lip a bit. My friend has this done with her physician, but I can't find any literature on this type of botox procedure.
I swear my upper lip has dropped after this laser procedure was performed by highly competent periodontist. The purpose was to correct the gum line of the two front incisors. I have had Botox treatments to the upper lip for the past few years. Patient age 58. The literature suggests this doesn't normally happen, yet I'm quite certain this has been the result of the frenectomy. Has this happened to anyone else?
I have a dynamic horizontal line above my upper lip (Photo 1) that is activated when I smile/laugh. I saw a doctor who put 4 units of Botox across the line + some microdrops of Juvederm. The Botox made it worse and more noticeable when I smiled (Photo 2). Another doctor suggested trying 2 units of Botox in the vertical muscles in the middle of the line instead of the horizontal ones. I would appreciate any feedback on the best treatment and any doctors I can consult with in Los Angeles area.
It is the upper lip to nose area. Could too much Botox make the skin looser and dropping down. I have noticed that I know longer use Botox but have problems with this area. It drops down to make my teeth disappear look as if not teeth,. I have also noticed that either side of the cupids bow there is folds either side
