I had botox in my forehead and glabella 8 months ago. A week after I started waking up with upper eyelid swelling that ended up stretching my eyelid skin. I met with an ocular plastic surgeon who told me Botox wouldnt have caused the swelling. 3 weeks ago I had another round of botox, this time only in the glabella region and 2.5 weeks later Im again waking up with swollen eyes everyday. Can botox cause upper lid swelling or affect lymphatic drainage in the face?
I got Botox last Wednesday 5 days ago and have had white swelling or discoloration/fluid collection (not sure?) about a nickel to quarter size with bruise in center. is this white fluid looking spot normal? nurse injector said she was not concerned when she saw it a few days ago but she also said it should improve more quickly. what could be causing this white looking area? if i press on the white area it turns pink for a moment/indents very slightly. not tender.
I have under eye fat pads that 3 Oculoplastic Surgeons suggested a bleph, drape the fat over, 1 said i should try filler first which he felt would help and could avoid surgery. I went to a well known cosmetic derma for injectables. She wouldn't do filler saying it wouldn't help and suggested laser & botox on side of eyes (5 injects per eye with 1 injection being directly under mid eye). i did botox only, 5 days later i woke w pocket under each eye. is there anything to help with this?
As I got in my car to leave, I got a weird drainage right under my eye. I felt the fluid run down the bottom side of that eyelid. As if the fluid had gone from the outside of my eye and ran down under my eye. Is it possible for the injection to move and drain? If so, should I be concerned? The bottom of that same eye feels tight today.
I have severe swelling under my eyes as if I was punched and have fluid build up. I know this isn't normal, and I have contacted the Dr, and she advised its normal, and to just ice the area. I do also have small bruising in both injection sites. Lastly, as the Botox was being injected, it was extremely painful, like burning. The injection itself was not painful, only when the medicine was injected. Like bee stings, only worse, then they dissipated in about 5 seconds.
I had Botox into the Glabellar and minimal to the forehead and 2 units to the crows feet areas. I am 5 days post procedure and my right eye is pooling fluid at the under part of the eyebrow and at the lid. How many days will this swelling or pooling last and what can I do to speed the process? I am currently on a medrol dosepak for the swelling. When the Botox kicks in fully at 7 days, will the swelling dissipate as well?
I have slight ptosis and a little weak eyelid muscles, which sometimes causes fluid retention/puffy upper eyelids in the morning. I really want a lateral botox browlift. Will it worsen my weak eyelid muscles and cause more fluid retention and ptosis or will it only affect the outer part of the eyemuscle ? I really want the browlift but I'm scared.
Since you inject near the eye (corrugator) and at the lateral orbicularis muscle. Doesn't the orbicularis muscle work for preventing fluid retention in the eyes. If you weaken the orbicularis muscle won't that cause fluid retention as it can't escape the weak muscle = puffy upper eyelids.
