I had a body lift and tummy tuck (no muscle repair) 4 weeks ago. I have numbness on the outside of my thighs. My surgeon says this will reduce in time. My question is, is it normal to have thigh numbness after a body lift? How long until the numbness in the thighs goes away?
The incision pain is managed with the pain meds but the back pain sitting and standing is constant. I feel that it's gotten worse. When I sit it's knumb and painful and standing it's hurting even though I am staying bent and using a walker. The area that hurts is where the bruising is really bad. I am trying to cut down on pain meds but the only time I get relief is with the max dose for about 1.5 hours and can only take it every 4 hours. I had back issues prior to surgery. HELP
I had a lower body lift almost a year ago. I still have numbness on my left thigh and tenderness still. I also have a strange sensation along the incision area across my backside and constantly feel like my pants and panties are falling down. Will I ever regain normal sensations, or is this normal?
How common is it to experience Meralgia paresthetica after a LBL? (5-2019) I've had nerve issues since around 6-7 months post op. The burning has turned to complete numbness. I have chronic inflammation& pain from my pirformis/si joint through groin & thigh. Im told no surgeon will help fix my medial thighs until the nerve issues are resolved. I waited over a yr for a nuero to help me. I still cant lay on my stomach & right side & my legs rub & look worse. Still no help... I need my life back.
I am 11 weeks post body lift, I seem to have excessive amounts of skin on my flanks and hips and there is a divot on my left hip noticeable in and out of clothes , this makes my saddlebags even more pronounced. My mon's just looks huge despite the fact I was told it was lipo'd. Seems fleshy almost waterbag like at times. Are these my final results or can I expect changes yet? Are these things going to get worse and the numbness goes away and the skin relaxes more? Am I look at revisions?
It's more numb on the side where there's a tiny infection. Is the numbness from the infection or is it a sign that the infection might be deeper than we think? Just got out on 2 new oral antibiotics. Just nervous.
