I am just starting my journey tomorrow. 30mg 1x per day to start / I weigh 115# / Female 48, non-child bearing I also read eating too much fish and dark greens is not good due to the Vitamin A it contains. I typically consume salmon and often another fish 1-3x per week and love my mixed green salads for lunch, along with kale ocassionally.
I have heard you're not supposed to supplement with Vitamin A while on Accutane. I workout on a daily basis, and drink one protien shake a day. The amount of vitamin A is 10%; Is this ok? or should i take it out completely.
I am a 34 year old male and I've suffered from acne since I was 14. Topicals have worked in the past however they always stop working. I've been on accutane 3 times. My most recent accutane dosage was 20mg/day for 1 yr. I have been off the tane for a few months and the breakouts have returned, mostly to my nose. For the past week I have been experimenting with 32,000-40,000 iu vitamin A /day and it seems to be working. Is this worse than going back on accutane at a dosage of 10mg/day?
Hi, I'm contemplating whether to do another course of accutane as it's the only thing that has ever worked to clear up acne. I know there are potential side effects so wanted to find out if taking Vitamin A supplements in capsule form could be used as an alternative to going back onto Accutane. I understand there is danger of Vitamin A toxicity so wanted to find out how Vitamin A supplements compare to Accutane capsules in terms of dosage/amount of Vitamin A. Thanks
