Feel like this has been asked a lot the only reason i have for asking it again are 1 i want there to be a different answer from what i'm seeing an 2 i think i was under less harsh conditions but basically Was on a isotretinoin treatment for 3 months of 10mg its been about 3 months would getting a tattoo be ok? ive already gone ahead an did a touch up for a tattoo i had which was only some darkening in specific areas an havent seen any issues but just wanted to be cautious
I was on isotretinoin (accutane) for 5 months, im currently on my 4th month after the treatment. I had a dosage of 20mg the first month, and then 60mg for the rest. (Daily) My height is around 51, i weigh around 130 pounds. Ive been thinking about getting a small tattoo recently, no bigger than an inch maybe but Ive been scared because of all the reviews ive seen on getting one after accutane and hvaing to wait 6 months. Ive been getting my eyebrows waxed just fine though.
I know how important it is to wait to get a tattoo until 6 months to a year after stopping accutane. But I'm wondering if accutane could cause any damage to tattoos one already had prior to treatment?
I'm on a low dose of accutane. 40mg 2X a week. I'd like to get a large tattoo. I understand, and know from experience that the medicine affects how I heal. Skin discoloration being a common factor. With the low dose, how long should I wait to get a tattoo once I stop taking it? I would think 3 months would be long enough to purge the medicine and for my skin to turn over. Thoughts?
I was on accutane for 9 months with a heavy dosage for the last 2. My acne has totally cleared up only thing that came back was my oiliness but my face still isnt oily as it was before. Ive gotten my eyebrows waxed with no problems as when I first started accutane I made that mistake and all the skin around my eyebrows came off as well.
I finished my 6 month round of accutane around mid-April. How long should I wait before getting a tattoo? (I don't know if it matters, but I was on 40mg once a day for the first month, 60mg once a day for the second month, and 40mg twice a day for the rest.)
