Ive been on accutane 3 months. The past 1.5 months my skin had gotten darker. Theres a few spots that are my normal skin tone and it makes my face look crazy. I wear spf 30 and Im not in the sun. The most Im outside is walking to my car or walking into the store. IS this normal. Do I need a higher spf?
Experienced skin irritation after a 4month course of roacutane while using exfoliating face wash. Skin was very sensitive. Used nerisone fatty ointment for a week or so on and off which seems to have caused some damage to the skin around the creases of the mouth and sides of chin area. Skin here is darker than on the rest of the face and the crease on one side of the face is more prominent. I'm of Indian ethnicity with hyper pigmentation. Is there a way to heal the damage caused to skin cells?
I'm an African American woman beginning my 3rd month of Accutane. Over the course of the treatment my face has gotten very dull and grayish and is several shades darker than the rest of my body. Is this a normal occurrence? If not, what measures can I take either during or after treatment to even my skin tone? Also, I have a lot of scarring (ice pick, boxcar, rolling and hyperpigmentation). I have heard that Accutane may decrease the severity of it. Is that true?
