Is there a way to treat a chemical burn on facial skin (over a decade ago) due to usage of a topical fatty ointment (nerisone)?

healthyskinhow
Experienced skin irritation after a 4month course of roacutane while using exfoliating face wash. Skin was very sensitive. Used nerisone fatty ointment for a week or so on and off which seems to have caused some damage to the skin around the creases of the mouth and sides of chin area. Skin here is darker than on the rest of the face and the crease on one side of the face is more prominent. I'm of Indian ethnicity with hyper pigmentation. Is there a way to heal the damage caused to skin cells?
